The CRCP provides financial assistance to support conservation projects, scientific research, and management capacity that benefit coral reef ecosystems across seven U.S. states and territories and the Freely Associated States.

Each year, the CRCP provides new and continued funding for grants and cooperative agreements in support of the Coral Reef Conservation Act, with a focus on reducing land-based sources of pollution, improving fisheries’ sustainability, increasing resilience to climate change, preparing for and responding to disturbance and disasters, and restoring viable coral populations.
